For the longest time, I never thought about going to Russia. Sure, I heard St. Petersburg was beautiful, but going to a country where I can’t even read signs, much less speak the language, scared me a little.

Until Poets of he Fall decided to play their last gig of 2008 in Russia and I found myself looking at flight prices and visa costs. It was too expensive back then, but I swore I’d do it the next time I’d get a chance.

In 2010 the chance came. Having heard about the gigs in December I had more than enough time to organize everything and in March I embarked on a journey I would not forget any time soon. Wonderful Russian hospitality and two beautiful cities greeted me, not to mention 2 amazing concerts. I sure have not seen enough yet!
