I was back in Iceland for Christmas 2013 and again in February 2014. The winter is so completely different from summer not only in temperature, but in light and atmosphere. Even the same places had a completely different feel to them.

A few words on the Northern Lights: What I saw in the sky was a pale whiteish-green. They did not look as bright or as colorful as they come out in the picture. In this case, the camera sees more than the eye. The blurriness is the result of long exposure without a tripod.
