After my first visit to Reykjavík in the summer of 2013 I returned twice the following winter, both times to see Árstíðir play. I had a few days each time to revisit places I’d already seen and add a few new ones.

Like most cities, Reykjavík is pretty ugly in the rain. In winter, the sun only comes out for a few hours anyway, but when it is there, the light is tremendously beautiful. As much as I loved the lush green and bright colors in summer, I find Iceland in the winter even more fascinating.
